Install Windows 8.1 Preview on VirtualBox

Windows 8.1 Preview is a free OS pour testing purposes, follow the instructions here and try it for free.  You should be able to buy it by the end year 2013.

Now let�s stop talking and let�s get to the point.

Install Windows 8.1 Preview

Start VirtualBox with the ISO file. You could download it from here: Download Windows 8.1 Preview for free

Click on Install Now.

Enter the code to continue.

Please accept the license agreement.

I choose the personalized options because is not an upgrade.

Click on Next to proceed with a regular installation on a single virtual Hard Drive HDD. I suggest to not splitting your hard drive because it mainly for testing purpose.

Let the installation do the work.

Personalize your theme by choosing the color. I choose mine.

  

Press Next once your finished. Don�t forget to enter a computer name.

Press Next if you accept the default settings.

Your virtual computer will try to connect to the internet.

You will have a message if your virtual computer can�t connect to the internet. I don�t have the internet on the train. I don�t need it immediately and that is why I press �Create A Local Account�.

Write your name and your secret password. Don�t try to put your password inside the password tip. Doh !

Your computer will run the installation and it might take some time.

You could try the new Windows 8.1 for free once the installation is complete. The official version should be available to buy by the end of 2013.
